We will be making a matcha mixing bowl out of clay, followed by matcha tasting, demonstration and hands on practice of mixing some delicious.

At this event of our tea series, we'll be exploring the delightful traditions of Matcha making ceremony right after making Japanese inspired matcha mixing tea bowl.

Be ready to get your hands dirty as we create ceramic matcha mixing bowl with Nonna Hall, then enjoy a Matcha tasting inspired by several traditions of matcha making & serving, led by Charles Wilkin of 2 Queens. You will have a chance to practice and make your own matcha drink.

We will have some delicious snacks paring, made by our amazing friends Christy and Gaku - the owners of Yopparai restaurant.

We will be serving different type of matcha and talk about specifics of different regions.

This is a 2 1/2 hour event.

What’s included:

• Clay for creating a matcha bowl with Nonna Hall, inspired by Japanese traditional tea culture - the workshop will be 1 hour

• Firing and glazing (finishing the project). The pick up or shipping of the finished bowl will be after 2 weeks from the event (shipping price is not included)

• 1 ½ matcha tasting ceremony with hands on practice, that will include up to 4 different matcha.

• Delicious food/snacks by Yopparai

• A little souvenir

• This workshop is limited to 12 people

  Payment & Cancellation

  Full payment is required prior to the class or workshop to secure your spot.

  • If you need to cancel, we offer a credit valid during 3 months with a 20% fee.

    The cancellation request should be send by email at least one week (7 days) before the workshop.

  • We do not offer refunds under any circumstances and we cannot transfer enrollment to a different class or workshop.

  • We reserve the right to cancel the group session (6 weeks class or collaborative workshops) incase a low enrollment 72 hours before the scheduled start date.
