UZBEK TEA CEREMONY AND TEA BOWL MAKING
MAY 17th, 12-2:30pm
Making traditional Uzbek inspired tea bowl, followed by tea ceremony.
As the first event in a series, we'll be exploring the delightful Uzbek traditional tea ceremony right after making Uzbek inspired tea bowl.
Be ready to get your hands dirty as we create ceramic tea ware with Nonna Hall, then enjoy a tea tasting inspired by Uzbek tradition of making and serving tea, led by Charles Wilkin of 2 Queens and Nonna Hall. We will be serving different type of teas and talk about specifics of the region.
This is a 2 1/2 hour event.
What’s included:
Clay for creating a tea bowl with Nonna Hall, inspired by Uzbek traditional tea culture - the workshop will be 1 ½ hour
Firing and glazing (finishing the project). The pick up or shipping of the finished bowl will be after 2 weeks from the event (shipping price is not included)
A one hour tea ceremony & tasting, that will include up to 5 different teas, that are appropriate for Uzbek tea culture. We will be serving our teas in traditional teaware.
