Please meet our fabulous instructors who will introduce your kids to an amazing and inspiring art skill or craft:
Abigail Alzamora:
Abigail Alzamora is a self-taught visual artist, raised in Sullivan County, NY. Her interests include acrylic painting, illustration, collage, and crochet. Abigail enjoys exploring and experimenting with many different mediums. Her favorite thing about art is sharing her passion for creating with others. Every day she strives to transform simple moments into sparks of excitement and creativity.
Abigail Alzamora has had her art displayed many times in local art exhibits. Her work has been featured in exhibits at the DVAA, the Narrowsburg Union, Upfront Gallery, the Arts Nest, and New Memories. Earlier this year she participated in her first collaborative exhibit, titled “Imaginative Interlude” at the Arts Nest in Lake Huntington, NY.
Abigail also has experience as a teaching artist with Bethel Woods. She has been involved in multiple creative programs, including P.L.A.Y. day camp, Bethel on Main, and various festivals.
Abigail will be teaching kids about the basic approach to exploring the world of multimedia art, as well as crochet and macrame.
All kids ages 11 and up are welcome.
Cheryl Perry, Art Teacher
Cheryl has a BFA in Sculpture from School of Visual Arts. She has a wide range of teaching experience and loves all creative endeavors. She is constantly exploring new media and ways to work. From painting and sculpture to glass, wire, and ceramic work, she is always looking for her next creative adventure.
