“I have loved photography from the moment I picked up my first Yashica at age 12. Most of my work is shot on film, which continues to captivate me with its magic. Cameras have been my passport around the world, and I have followed my nose off the beaten path. This show reflects my curiosity about people and places, many of them inaccessible to most. The photographs were taken in Cambodia, Turkey, Indonesia, Mongolia, India, Poland, Vietnam, Pakistan, Guatemala, Thailand, Japan, Iran and NYC. I’m happiest when I’m shooting, always instantly forgetting the monumental effort it took to get my crew and equipment where it needed to be.” G. Billard
