Rabbits by nature are skittish little creatures. They live among us but scurry away at our very presence. In this painting, I study the rabbits that hide in my Shohola backyard, highlighting their fearful gaze. I use texture and movement to emphasize the feeling of urgency while also using bright colorful hues to draw attention to the innocence of what rabbits represent to us.
